I think that the Plyo Cardio Circuit has become my favorite day in our 6 day Insanity rotation. This workout is stupid hard! There’s a lot of jumping, a lot of ground work and because of this, a lot of sweating which (as you probably know from previous posts) really gets my motor goin’!

So I haven’t been very consistent in recording the pains of this week’s workouts, but that doesn’t correlate in any way to our track record of completion. Somehow we’ve managed to find the time, strength, motivation, anger, whatever it is necessary to keep this going – and we’re about to move into week 4 of this program.

Tough from start to finish today. Lungs feel coated thanks to this respiratory infection that’s taken up residence – noticeably worse today than the last couple days – which I think made it much more difficult. Eff! It’s weird that I could be making the progress that I am and still struggle so hard through this combo from HELL! It’s like a cruel joke to have to endure the torture of Pure Cardio and then “Dig Deep” to try to get through Cardio Abs. Well, if nothing else, I got some good video tonight. Two weeks down in this crazy workout and with that comes some results – I threw together a quick little chart of the fit test results so far. I took it a bit easy during week 1 but the improvements are still very much real. 6 more weeks and can’t wait to see what these results show then…
