			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Jesus that was rough. I almost quit once during the warm-up and a good couple times during the actual workout &#8211; not sure why I didn&#8217;t, but whatever. Had to make this day up from a headache I had earlier this week and didn&#8217;t want to miss my favorite heart wrenching workout on the menu. I was dragging the whole way through, as you can tell from my video clip with legs sprawling body flailing. I&#8217;m blaming it on the sickness my entire family has been fighting as of late, though I have yet to succumb to it completely, only morning coughs and minor annoyances so far. And of course the sluggish workouts. </p>
<p>I have noticed one major improvement over the last couple workouts &#8211; the subsiding of the dizzy spells. I was experiencing about 10 minutes worth of minor lightheadedness- enough to be a bother &#8211; after each workout. Recently however it has stopped. I&#8217;m guessing my cardiovascular inferiority has been waning, in light of a new set of lungs, blood vessels and all around pumpatude &#8211; or something&#8230;</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>After about 6 months of &#8216;This site is being updated, check back soon&#8217; I finally got around to painting a face on <a href="http://chrisfayconsulting.com">chrisfayconsulting.com</a>. It&#8217;s just the skin &#8211; more of a splash page for now, and mostly points back to where the juice is currently (<a href="http://chrisfay.net">chrisfay.net</a>), but it&#8217;s the initial motion on one of my new years resolutions &#8211; seriously building a brand for my freelancing/consulting business for 2010.<br />

I do quite a bit of theme development for <a href="http://themeforest.net/user/chrisfay/portfolio">ThemeForest.net</a> and in doing so generate a steady flow of clients for a variety of projects, many of which I am unable to show due to non-disclosures. Aside from those projects I work on my own startup ideas, webapp fronts, and anything I can get my hands on with hopes of revolutionizing the online industry in any way possible. Chris Fay Consulting, LLC is the umbrella from which I work, and my goal this year will be to strenghten this brand to make it a stronger avenue for revenue and a future business model for things to come.<br />

I went with a more minimal&#8217;sh modern feel, focused on bold typography &#8211; you&#8217;ll notice the site is pretty light on content at the moment. This is due in part to a conflict of interest between chrisfay.net and chrisfayconsulting.com &#8211; I&#8217;m still figuring out how to mesh the two into one brand, and will be my next big project. </p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Week 1 Down! Wuhh wut, wuuh wut&#8230; </p>
<p>Almost did the ab workout on accident as it was the next video in line &#8211; good thing I checked the calendar. Plyo it is &#8211; and twice in one week, which was kind of cool considering it made it a tad easier to compare the intensity of each and my progress so far. I was a bit surprised to see that I actually made some &#8211; progress that is. My heart rate didn&#8217;t hit quite so high and the exercises didn&#8217;t debilitate me to the level they did on day 2 &#8211; not saying I wasn&#8217;t on the floor, but maybe to a bit less of a degree this time. I still replaced some of the upper body/shoulder stuff with less migraine taunting alternatives, but that&#8217;s a price I&#8217;m willing to pay at this point. </p>
<p> I never was much for cardio &#8211; the most of which consisted of a 5 minute jog on the treadmill before lifting, or the cardio workouts I allowed myself to complete in P90X. For some reason the workouts in Insanity are invigorating &#8211; maybe it&#8217;s the brutal personal challenge they present or the results I already notice&#8230;who knows. Planning on adding some videos to these diaries for next week so stay tuned foos</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Day-6 Plyometric Cardio Circuit</p>
<p>OMG! I can&#8217;t believe that we are one week down!  Not to say that I am gliding through this workout effortlessly but, I can definitely feel an improvement from just a mere 6 days ago when the hubs and I first stumbled, gasped, and weazed through our fit test. In fact, I think that I finally made it through the warm up (yes, I said <em>warm up</em>!) without having to take a serious breather. After years and years of doing primarily cardio driven workouts at the gym I am realizing that nothing that I have ever done has been this challenging cardiovascularly and I hoping that, in return, I&#8217;ll get in rockin&#8217; shape by the end of two months! Day of rest tomorrow and then, on to week two! Yeehaw!</p>

Jennie and I both completed a round of P90X, a fairly intense workout program itself, but after 2 days doing Insanity I can say it&#8217;s sufficiently inferior in the cardio department compared to Insanity &#8211; exponentially. </p>

Most workout programs work in bursts of exercise with longer periods of rests &#8211; Insanity turns this method upside down with long intervals of intense cardio mixed with short rest periods &#8211; it&#8217;s crazy. I haven&#8217;t had my heart rate in the 190&#8217;s since I can remember, and I thought I was gonna die. The fit test made me feel like a fat kid on twinkies at camp chunkie-love. I feel great so far, and Jennie loves it, so we&#8217;ll keep running with it as long as our bodies allow us to.
