Super Dork
My recent computing endeavor has launched me into an ultimate ‘uber geek’ status. I have been using Linux for quite a while now for my site hosting servers and email etc.. and have naturally been learning more and more about the way it works. Ubuntu has served me well as a stable and well-rounded flavor, though I am craving a more personal edge to my Linux foundation. Because of this desire, I have decided to focus on developing my own personalized Linux distribution.
I have started following the online books located at www.linuxfromscratch.org with the intent on creating a completely functional base level distribution focused on providing ‘only’ that which I need for running my servers, then eventually automate the process for reinstallation. This will not only be beneficial for practicality, but will serve as an invaluable learning experience. We’ll see how it goes….
