a lack of wisdom
Today marks the fourth day in a slow and painfully underestimated recovery process from my wisdom teeth extraction. I had originally planned for all four to be removed but financially decided it best to do the bottom two first. They were the most impacted and annoying.
I have heard many wonderful stories of lucky souls who have the extraction, eat burgers, pizza, chips…you name it. I, unfortunately, can’t drink water without wishing it had been my mouth removed rather than my teeth. The pain is intense, the swelling is ridiculous and the twelve hours of work I must continuously do while throbbing internally is absolute hell. I want my wisdom teeth back, or at least a good 3 week general anesthesia to bar memories from surfacing.
I commend those who were fortunate enough to endure only moderate pain throughout this process; they must have extracted my pain tolerance along with my molars. Thanks…

Chris,
I’m soosooosoooosoooooosoooooo sorry for all the pain you went
through! It sounds a TON worse than my root canal that
I had when I was 8. (That’s when Mike called me puff daddy,
referring to Dad when he got stung by bees on our camping trip, and
made me laugh, which in turn made my tooth hurt more…)
I hope you’re feeling better, now that it’s been over a week.
See you soon!
Love, your little sister, Andrea -
OK, I found out how to see Jennie’s updates. Pardon any errors here as I am on sleep medication. Wanted also to say that I understand the Wisdom Tooth situation…I felt your pain a few years ago…It impacted and I had to have that viscious tape packed into it every few days…worse than having a baby…Uh…well…a baby aligator biting you. Sorry Jenny. Guess I don’t really know how it feels, but it hurt like aich, Eee – double toothpicks. Hang in there dude and don’t forget to pass on the beef jerky for a while! UB
