Servers are a chug’n
I was like a kid in a candy store when my birthday present my wife so generously afforded me came knocking on my door. Thanks UPS for delivering one package containing:
Dell E310 P4 2.8ghz HT
17 Flat Panel Monitor (1280X1024)
512 mb ram
80 gig HD
CD Burner
This was the final piece in a puzzle aimed at turning my office into a full-fledged server cluster with the intent to maintain a bit more control in how my content reaches my users. I studied like crazy on how to build such servers, what OS to use, how to integrate internal LAN networking with its WAN counterpart and ultimately settled on the setup I am currently running. That setup is in full force hosting cjfay.com as we speak. YEY!
I am still in the process of configuring a few things; one being the mail portion. I can’t seem to figure out how to host multiple domains on the same web server without separating them out. I can get mail to arrive for users under cjfay but not users under my two other domains. Ugh.
I can’t complain though as I successfully, and without much trouble, managed to implement this switch just as planned. Anyone need a website hosted
