Ramblings of a worn in toilet

Rain has just begun to fall on the eve of yet another work week to come. I could stand completely behind my assumption that rain is the greatest whether condition of all but that would unfairly omit the aggravation it causes due to constant net disconnections. In all the billions of revenue that Comcast swallows from broadband, it has somehow unsuccessfully devised a backup plan for outages which, much to my dismay, is an inconvenience to my blogging habits. Not to mention the many other net dependent addictions of which I will not divulge; none of moral turpitude I assure you :)

Here I was, happily pounding upon my keyboard when out of nowhere: “connection to Linksys router failed” leaps out at me from some unknown corner of my screen. “What in the devil” I curse to my computer as if a human response was sure to grace my hopeful ears. But again to my dismay, I find the internet has left me high and dry wishing only for the wondrous scent of packet flow and data transfer. I am confronted with an oxymoronic appreciation for the storm that has so disconnected me from the outside world and for the moment, allow the technological black hole to whisk me away.

Then I wake up, realize the world can not be buttered with literary propriety and go on about my internetless existence with hopes of a quick resolution to my withdrawals. I’m not sure where I was going with this apart from passing time between the booming thunder and internet connection resets but I suppose that it served its purpose as I am now able to post it. Rejoice for the net is back!
