Face off: cjfay
As my knowledge and understanding of web development rapidly grows I am quickly realizing the ineficiancy of my website structure for cjfay.com. The progression of the site has parallelled my own growth in html and css and I’m coming to a point where the current formula for web content placement is just plain stupid. To edit the structure of my site every time I add content is completely redundent and time consuming and with the technology in css and content management systems I have decided to transition into using such a strategy.
With the ability to seperate the structural html from the content I am efficiently able to focus on a more practical and adaptable vision for future site applications and content changes. With some newly acquired appreciation for dynamic database driven site building the equation results in a fully editable and extremely adaptable framework for cjfay.com that it is currently lacking.
On that note, I have now started production on the new cjfay.com which will integrate a wealth of information, applications and interatctions for a much more user friendly and effective experience for all you guys. My hope is that at some point cjfay.com will become a portal for which our family and friends can update, interact and ultimately communicate with one another while effectively allowing me the room to adapt the site as need be.
